Welcome to the Land of the Himalayas!
 
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will meet you in the arrival hall with a warm Nepalese welcome and a pleasant smile. Afterwards, we will drive to our hotel in a private AC vehicle and enjoy the vibrant streets of Kathmandu.
 
Once we arrive at our hotel, our travel planner will provide a safety briefing and trip details, and assist with a gear check to ensure we are fully equipped for the adventure ahead. 
 
In the evening, we will have a welcome dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant, followed by cultural performances that will help us get to know our team and provide a glimpse of Nepalese culture and traditions.

Today, we will leave our hotel early in the morning with a packed breakfast to reach the Tourist Bus stop, where we will get ourselves a comfortable ride to Pokhara – the city of lakes. 
 
As the ride commences, we will leave behind the bustling and crammed metropolis and drive through the scenic, serpentine Prithvi Highway. Tracing the roaring Trishuli River, we will glimpse traditional houses, lush, forested hills, terraced paddy fields, and historic towns along the way before reaching the picturesque Pokhara Valley.
 
After checking into our hotel, we can take a leisurely walk along the lakeside, with the mountain smiling in the backdrop, while charming cafes and handicrafts await their visitors with a warm welcome. 
 
Pokhara Altitude: 800 meters

After breakfast, we will take a Jeep and drive along the scenic highway with open roads and mountain views for 2-3 hours (depending on road conditions) before reaching Siwai.
 
From Siwai, our walk begins as we climb stone steps and pass through terraced fields lined with millet, maize, and marigolds. Within an hour, we will find ourselves in a stone-paved alley marking the arrival of our destination in Ghandruk. An important Gurung village, Ghandruk, stands in a picture-perfect Himalayan settlement. After settling into our lodge, we can visit the local museum to learn more about the local culture and history. The warm and welcoming locals will be more than thrill to strike a conversation and share smiles.

Saying our farewell to Ghandruk, we will follow a scenic trail that descend to the Kimrong Khola. Crossing the bridge, we will begin an ascend through the oak and rhododendron forests alive with birdsong. Through the winding curve we will come across a small hamlet. Crossing the hamlet further opens us to the beautiful panoramic view of Machhapuchre’s distinctive fish-tail shape. 
 
On the top of the hill, lie the village of Chhomrong, the last major settlement before the Annapurna Sanctuary. Tidy teahouses lines in the hillside to provide rest to the tired wanderers. We will rest for the day in Chhomrong from where we will get the glimpses of Annapurna glowing in the evening sun.
 
Chhomrong Altitude: 2,170 meters

Today we will descend the stone steps from Chhomrong’s hill with scattered houses and farmlands till we reach down at Chhomrong Khola. After crossing the suspension, our trail now begins a staircase climb through from the last houses of Chhormong. The trail further continues to be a forested trail of dense bamboo and Rhododendron forests.
 
Listening to the river echoing through the gorge and walking on the cool air we will pass the Bamboo and reach Dovan, where a tiny cluster of lodges are nestled under towering cliffs draped with ferns and moss. Resting for the night, we can enjoy the brilliant night sky twinkling all across the sky. 
 
Dovan Altitude: 2,600 meters

Commencing our climb higher, we will walk through a narrow rocky trail steadily. The trail will lead us towards Himalaya hotel where only 3 lodges are nestled in the giant’s hills filled with blusheeps. Continuing our path, we will reach Deurali which opens to an astonishing view of mountains but further the trail goes alpine. 
 
We will walk along the Modi river side where with open land where only alpine meadows and big boulders can be seen. Slowly the horizon gets dominated by the Machhapuchre. As we walk further, we will continue a small climb where our resting day for the day Machhapuchre Base Camp awaits us. Machhapuchre is a sacred peak which is restricted for climbers as locals believe it to be the home of supreme god – Shiva, the destroyer of evil. Surrounded by the mighty snow peaks and glaciers we will enjoy an evening looking at the sun setting and glowing the white mountains in orange light.
 
Machhapuchere Base Camp Altitude: 3,620 meters

Pre-dawn we will take a short hike to Annapurna Base Camp. The trail is filled with alpine meadows and continuous climb. But reaching the base camp, we will be graces with one of the most spectacular morning views of our life time. The golden rays of sun touches and slowly reveals the majestic Annapurna, Hiuchuli, and Machhapuchre is their glow – a breathtaking amphitheater of peaks. 
 
After the mesmerizing view, we will enjoy a warm and hearty breakfast surrounded by the 360-degree panorama view of Annapurna Massif. We will spend an ample time to wander around, taking photograph and simply stand in awe with the view of cathedral of ice and sky. 
 
Now, its time for us to retrace our steps and descend down. Crossing the MBC, we will be in a familiar path but with a completely different perception. The trail is mostly downward now, which makes the walk easier, and faster. Passing through the Deurali, we can taka a last look at the mountain upclose and then continue passing the Himalaya and reach Dovan for the night.
 
Dovan Altitude: 2,600 meters
Walking Distance: 16 Kilometers
Walking Duration: 6 to 7 hours

From Dovan we will continue the downward path and re-enter the rhododendron forest. Clearing the forested trail, we will reach Sinuwa once again where a steep climb down awaits us till the suspension bridge. Passing the suspension bridge a familiar stairway climb to Chhomrong’s top will overwhelm us. Reaching the top, we will once again enjoy the iconic Machhapuchre’s view and then divert from the path we once took coming from Ghandruk.
 
The path is narrow and steep with only small trees, bushes on the rocky terrain. Coming down, we will find ourselves in the clustered of teahouses built in a terraced land. Jhinu is popular for its natural hot spring. So, after checking in at hotel, we can visit the natural hot spring for a calm and relaxing bath and let the hot water work its magic on our tiring body.
 
Jhinu Danda Altitude: 1,780 meters
Walking Distance: 14 Kilometers
Walking Duration: 5 to 6 hours

The final stretch of our trek begins with a crossing of the long suspension bridge at Jhinu, then continues a descent along trails filled with birdsong and the chatter of villages awakening. We will walk through the terraced fields of rice and mustard, enjoying the rural lifestyle of Nepalese people, until we reach Siwai, where our Jeep will be waiting for us.
 
Taking the jeep, we will re-ride through the same highway we came on a week ago. Enjoying the view of the city after a long, we will reach back to the serene lakeside and rest for the night. We can take a leisurely walk by the lakeside, maybe enjoy a cup of coffee, perhaps even get a Himalayan foot massage for relaxing, there are many options to choose from once we are back in the famous Pokhara.

Early morning, we will board a tourist bus that will drive us to Kathmandu from the familiar Prithvi Highway. Trishuli accompanies once again while the terraced farms, hillside forests, charming hamlets keep the scenery refreshing. After crossing Nagdhunga, we will climb the winding road that welcomes us to the crammed Kathmandu. 
 
After check-in at the hotel, we can browse through the tourist hub – Thamel for some last minute souvenir shopping and at the evening, we will have a farewell dinner along with the celebration of a successful trip in the land of Himalayas.
